Using Twitter for Advocacy and Marketing

Alan Rosenblatt of Tech President shares his thoughts on why Twitter is so important to Advocacy and Marketing. For those new to Twitter, I recommend you read the whole post but here are some of the highlights: 

  • There are 26.5 million people on Twitter in the U.S. alone and among them are many of the influential people discussing your issue. If you’re not on Twitter, you’re missing out on the opportunity to engage them.
  • Twitter is essential for monitoring real-time reactions to your brand and issues.
  • Hashtags are how Twitter aggregates conversations and creates affinity groups. Hashtags get your tweets in front of new audiences, people who are not already following you.
