Stop the IRS from Taxing USA Olympic Athletes

Team USA athletes make significant personal sacrifices and spend years of their lives training to represent this great country. But the IRS waits behind the scenes to tax their Olympic success. As a reward for earning a medal at the Olympics, the U.S. Olympic Committee recognizes our athletes with $25,000 for gold medals, $15,000 for silver medals, and $10,000 for bronze medals. That amount is then taxed as if it is regular income earned by the athlete.

The U.S. Senate has passed legislation exempting these awards from taxation. It’s time for the U.S. House to do the same. Sign the petition below!
