Stop Congress from Raising the Cost of Domestic Air Travel
These misguided politicians think they need to raise the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) because airports need more money. Yet, they ignore the simple fact: Airports brought in $24 billion in revenue in 2013 and roughly $6 billion in PFC funds in the last two years. Taxes and fees make up 21 percent of the cost of an average domestic flight. American travelers don’t need to be saddled with any additional costs. Air travel is already expensive enough!
