Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) congratulates Rep. Nick Langworthy on becoming one of the latest members of Congress to sign the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. As a Pledge signer, Langworthy boldly commits in writing to the taxpayers of New York to oppose and vote against all income tax hikes.
“I applaud Rep. Nick Langworthy for signing the Taxpayer Protection Pledge to the people of New York. By signing the Pledge, Rep. Langworthy shows his constituents that he is focused on the kitchen table issues that matter most to them,” said ATR President Grover Norquist.
“Langworthy will be instrumental in pushing back against President Biden’s radical agenda,” continued Norquist.
Rep. Langworthy proudly signed the Pledge on Feb. 3, 2023, only a month into office.

I am following through on my commitment to protect taxpayers because people should be able to keep more of their hard-earned income. After two long years of Democrat policies crushing American workers, retirees, consumers, and small businesses, voters have finally had enough. Voters have spoken and they elected candidates focused on pro-growth policies that hold the line on taxes and expand economic opportunities for Americans.
Eighty-five percent of congressional Republicans have made the written commitment to oppose higher taxes. In contrast, ZERO congressional Democrats have made that promise.
