Norquist: Gov. DeSantis Continues to Champion Florida Taxpayers with Framework for Freedom Budget

Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) President Grover Norquist provided the following statement on the Framework for Freedom budget tax relief proposals announced by Gov. DeSantis today:

“Governor DeSantis and Republicans in the legislature have kept taxes low, and ensured government spends responsibly, making Florida the fastest growing state with the best tax climate in the nation. 

“When he signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, Governor DeSantis made a written commitment to Floridians that he would never raise their taxes. As Governor, he’s lived up to that commitment and more.

“The tax relief package Governor DeSantis announced today would return hard-earned tax dollars to Floridians, making sure taxpayers come first, not government. 

“We look forward to continuing to work with the Governor to protect Florida taxpayers and make the state an even better place to start a family or business.”
