Reverend Isaac Hayes, a candidate running for the United States House of Representatives in Illinois’ 2nd district, recently signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge.
Reverend Hayes is challenging incumbent Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., who for a number of years has received low ratings from various groups looking out for the interests of the American taxpayer and most recently voted against preventing taxpayer money from going to ACORN.
Isaac Hayes is the first candidate in the race to sign the pledge and commit to the taxpayers that he stands with them. Though Rep. Jackson is not a pledge signer, we here at ATR strongly encourage him as well as all candidates for Federal office to sign the Taxpayer Protection Pledge.
