A candidate in Illinois’ 2010 gubernatorial race recently signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge.  Bob Schillerstrom, a Republican, signed the Pledge last week.  Schillerstrom is currently Chairman of the DuPage County Board. ATR strongly encourages all candidates in the race to sign the Pledge and make a real commitment to protect taxpayers from the unnecessary burden of higher taxes.

Schillerstrom faces several others in the Republican primary. All the candidates are aiming to replace current Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, the incumbent governor who assumed office after the impeachment of Rod Blagojevich.
