This morning Grover Norquist was on Fox Business Network’s Varney & Company where he discussed the upcoming Debt Ceiling showdown.

Mattie Duppler, Director of Budget and Regulatory Policy at Americans for Tax Reform, appeared on MSNBC’s The Daily Rundown panel for a discussion on current events.

Recently Grover Norquist sat down with The Hill where he discussed the “reasonable things” Republicans should ask for this upcoming fall:

“Congressional Republicans should insist on transparency in the debt-limit talks, he said. The Obama administration should open up its books to prove that a debt-limit increase is necessary this fall, according to Norquist.”

The Advocate noted that State Senator Neil Riser and State Representative Jay Morris, two Republican’s running for Lousiana’s 5th Congressional seat, have signed ATR’s Taxpayer Protection Pledge.

“The 5th District is one of the poorest congressional districts in the nation. It covers all or part of 24 parishes across northeastern Louisiana, through much of central Louisiana, across the northern Baton Rouge metro area — though not East Baton Rouge Parish itself — along the state line with Mississippi through the Florida Parishes to Washington Parish.”
