Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform, points to Arlen Spector’s reassertion of his stance against the EFCA as the key positive in his switch to the Democratic Party.
“The state actions are being championed by organizations such as the Alliance for Worker Freedom, a unit of Grover Norquist’s strongly conservative Americans for Tax Reform, have sought to make EFCA’s prospects even bleaker by promoting measures at legislatures nationwide opposing secret ballots.”
Under the guise of concern over their citizens, and behind absurd claims, such as: the industry provides “funding for criminal and terrorist organizations”; Minnesota is attempting to shut down online gambling. Grover Norquist, President of the Americans for Tax Reform, added, “This is nanny-statism at its worst”.
