National conservative leaders to tour Georgia\’s 7th Congressional District in support of pro-taxpayer candidate
WASHINGTON – The nation\’s top conservative leaders will gather in Georgia\’s 7th Congressional District Saturday, August 10th, to back the candidacy of four term Representative Bob Barr. They will tour the district from end to end, stopping at six cities along the way for old fashioned political rallies.
Taxpayer advocate Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform, will be joined by such conservative luminaries as Wayne LaPierre of the National Rifle Association, David Keene of the American Conservative Union, the Rev. Lou Sheldon of the Traditional Values Coalition, Jim Fotis of the Law Enforcement Alliance, Lori Waters of the Eagle Forum, Neal White of the National Retail Sates Tax Alliance, David Bossie of Citizens United, talk show host G. Gordon Liddy, and author Gary Alrich.
"Bob Barr has proven to be more than a friend to the taxpayer, he is rightly called a taxpayer champion," said Grover Norquist. "Barr has taken the lead in fighting for lower taxes, meaningful tax reform, and taxpayer and financial privacy. Many legislators vote right, but Bob Barr takes the lead on behalf of Georgia\’s, and America\’s, taxpayers."
The bus tour will begin with a rally at 9am in Hiram, Georgia, in front of the Western Sizzlin at 480 Watts Road. From there, the rallies will continue in Emerson at 10:30am, in Woodstock at 12:00pm, in Canton at 1:30pm, in Cumming at 3:15pm, and Buford at 4:30pm.
