CALIFORNIA – Flash Report

On Monday, the Flash Report featured a great article by guest writer Jon Coupal, President of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association challenging Gov. Jerry Brown’s hypocritical rhetoric blaming Republicans for a lack of support for his tax increase ballot initiative. In one of the most heavily taxed states in the country, Democrats won’t even consider a proposal to cut taxes, a measure that would tackle the state’s real problem: spending.

VIRGINIA – Bearing Drift

Like many blogs around the internet, Virginia’s Bearing Drift celebrated Ronald Reagan’s 100th Birthday with some pieces from his 1980 Republican Convention speech. The folks at Bearing Drift correctly point out that decades after his speech, Reagan’s solutions are still applicable to the problems we face today.
