The producer of the ‘world’s best gummies & candy’ is giving their employees some sweet benefits thanks to Republican tax cuts.
Albanese Confectionery, a world-famous candy manufacturer located in Indiana, handed out employee bonuses and expanded their benefits program once President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law.
Less than a month after the Republican House and Senate passed the tax cuts, Officer Tess Albanese told employees:
“Taxes are complicated. With the new tax plan we are able to take a giant leap in investing in the things that matter. You matter. It’s just that simple.”
Employees received bonuses up to $2,000 based on their length of employment. Even new employees were given $150 bonuses. Albanese Confectionery pledged to give their employees annual bonuses each January for as long as Republican tax cuts remain in effect.
The candy company also expanded their benefits package to include new programs like maternal and paternal leave.
