In their race to secure the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Maryland, ex-secret service agent Dan Bongino, businessman and attorney Richard Douglas, and limousine company owner Corrogan Vaughn have all signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge.
Nine GOP candidates have declared their candidacy for the nomination against the Democrat. Current incumbent, Democrat Senator Ben Cardin faces eight opponents in the April 3rd primary. As of now, Cook Political Report, rates Maryland as a Safe Democratic seat.
By signing the Pledge, these candidates have committed to the taxpayers of Maryland that they will “oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses … and oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.”
