Mike, Rhett, the Tri-City Herald's April 16th edition quoted the crowd as being 1000 people large at its peak. They had no estimate for total attendance and I was not able to find any numbers from any other local news sources. From my experience at the rally I believe Rhett's statement of 2000 people in total attendance is fairly accurate. http://www.tri-cityherald.com/kennewick_pasco_richland/story/545850.html

La Fortune Park had 3200 according to the estimator, and Veteran's Park had 1500-1700 according to estimates. All told it was quite a day, with very few people being able to attend more than one, 7000 is a good approximation!

There seemed to be at least three TEA Parties in my vicinity: Melbourne, FL, Viera, FL and Palm Bay, FL I cannot confirm this figure, but this is a small town and crowds lined both sides of the street in front of city hall during lunch hour. I overheard a lady comment to the organizer that she counted 750. Personally, I think the figure is low, but that is what she said.

I attended the TEA Party in Madison, Wisconsin, on the 15th. What a great crowd of between 5000 to 8000 concerned citizens (not Right Wing Extremist). It was such a good feeling to be able to express ones feelings in a public gathering, about an issue as important as being taxed to death, with a group of well mannered folks. These folks are really what this country was built on.

The security officers at the Library were telling people they could not hold demonstrations on Government property. Yet the were allowing a group to be there! No media attended at either location.

Reports have already been posted about the 1,000 attending the Denton, TX event but I need to comment on a couple of things. The crowd was enthusiastic and orderly, but the local authorities placed a two hour limit on the meeting. Austin, TX had 2 Tea Parties. #1 at noon at the city courthouse has been widely reported on: 1000 - 1500. #2 at the Texas State Capitol during rush hour was much larger: at least 5000 by organizers' estimates. Filled an area 1 1/2 miles long. But, no mention of it even happening by any news source, and DPS says their numbers are confidential.

I attended the TEA Party in Nacogdoches. The numbers have already been reported. I was greatly suprised at the number of young people on hand, not children, but young people.College students, working singles and parents of younger children. Now if CNN wishes to bury their heads in the sand, fine with me. We are on a roll, keep it rolling. The left can try to discredit us, but hey we know their methods and could care less about their silliness.

There were actually three in Redding, CA. The first had 140 according to the local paper's website, Redding.com. Some who attended said it was more like 200. I went to the next two. The paper did not give estimates for those. I saw no law enforcement, so I doubt they have estimates, either. I would say 300 to 500 at the second and 1500 to 2000 at the third. We attended the rally in St. George Utah. Very high energy, no problems, not one person out of line. We had several of our state representatives encouraging us with our pursuit. The demeaning method that CNN and the rest of the media reported was simply not true. This was not a party issue, just citizens protesting the spending and taxing. To be dismissed as we were really sends a message. Our politicians need to be reminded who their employer is. Let's keep it going.

I conducted a "one man" tea party in Athol, Idaho. My work commitments kept me from making the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Tea Party. I gave out tea bags. In my case, I took three tea bags and put them over a banner on a fire hydrant conspicuously at the SR-95 & SR-54 Crossroads. They were cut on the bottom where the tea poured out. I knew that dogs would urinate on the spoiled tea. This would be my sentiments exactly of how our government wastes our hard-earned resource: They piss on it like a dog!

I was at the Philadelphia protest on April 15th and there were more than 200 people there. The park is the size of a city block and it was 3/4 filled with people. Problem is, nobody counts the people at these things so there is no way to tell. The weather in Philly that day was low 40's, wind, on and off heavy rain - downright miserable. Please change the Augusta, ME total to 590. Of the 25 or so people I spoke to there, 9 others agreed with me that they just went to see the freakshow. We weren't there as supporters, we just wanted to see the local white trash ask for tax increases for themselves, and lower taxes for the most wealthy. You can search any city with 'tea party' tagged on, and find many more. I can give You at least four cities, but anyone who held one and did not get to see your web site will be left out. i.e. Duncan Az., EL Segundo, Ca. @ dockweiler beach state park, By Manhattan bch. Lake Elsinore, Ca., Los angeles, Ca. Many cities involved there. A lot of these were covered in 'local' papers.

I know a lot of NE Texas parties are not listed. The link below has an accurate number of the NE Texas parties, and should be a better measure of the total number nationwide. http://anti-contrarian.blogspot.com/2009/04/how-many-people-attended-tea-parties.html

My hubby & I attended the Rockford, IL Tea Party on 4/14. There was certainly more than 200 people. I would estimate it as closer to 400, maybe even 500. There were as many as were at the Feb. 27 Tea Party in downtown Chicago - where the temp was 21 degrees!

TIME FOR ANOTHER TEA PARTY HOW ABOUT MEMORIAL DAY, AFTER EVERYONE ATTENDS MEMORIAL DAY SERVICES? STAND UP AMERICA! TELL THOSE YOU HAVE ELECTED WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO AND IF THEY DO NOT, VOTE THEM OUT AT THE NEXT ELECTIONS!

What a great turnout and I am still finding out about more Tea Parties that were held in my State. Here is a link where you can click on your State and read about all the Tea Parties. http://www.pjtv.com/;jsessionid=abc46YutByZt2a0pU24cs?cmd=view-events&type=1&sort=name&reverse=false&category=2&state=KY

I attended the TEA party in Monroe Mi. and would estimate between 500-750 fed up americans in attendance. We must keep the momentum rolling. How about another one on the fourth of July?

I'm hoping that there will be another tea party in Baltimore, Maryland this July 4th. How can I network with someone in this area. Thanks I'm so excited about this movement.

I was at the DC rally and there were more like 2,000 people there. Even CNN agrees: http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/07/04/tea.party/.

Brentwood California had about 300. This is the town in Northern Ca, not the Brentwood of OJ fame.
