Conservative leaders issued a statement today criticizing President Obama's PAYGO plan for sticking taxpayers with the bill for the Democrats' record $1.84 trillion deficit.
"For the Congressional Democrats to be credible about pay-as-you-go (PAYGO), they have to start living up to their rhetoric otherwise PAYGO is just another word for tax increases."
They call on Congress to institute dynamic scoring. "Bigger bailouts, deeper debt, and more deficit spending add up to higher taxes, crippling debt for our children, and more bad news for our nation's economic future. Instead of PAYGO congress should institute dynamic budget scoring that recognizes the true costs of spending while incorporating the stimulative effects of tax cuts."
