2002 Hero of
the Taxpayer Award
Each year, American
for Tax Reform tracks the twenty votes in Congress that most impact
taxpayers across the country. Each Member of the House and Senate is
scored by the way they vote on each of these twenty items. Those Members
who vote in the interest of American taxpayers at least 85% of the time
receive ATR's "Hero of the Taxpayer" award.
This year, 202
Members of the U.S. House and 31 Senators qualify to receive this prestigious
award. In addition, ATR has named White House Office of Management and
Budget Director Mitch Daniels a Hero of the Taxpayer for his relentless
efforts to control the federal budget.
