Grover Norquist wrote an Op-Ed for Human Events entitled “Norquist’s solution to round two of the debt ceiling hike.”

“The last lessons of this fall are that every single Republican in the House and Senate support abolishing Obamacare. The House has now four times voted to end Obamacare. Differences over tactics should not obscure the amazing party unity on this issue. Ted Cruz’s idea that the House alone could force the repeal of Obamacare ran into the painful reality of a Democrat controlled Senate. That does suggest how we can do better in future efforts: elect a Republican Senate.”

Tom Brune of Long Island Newsday reported that Lee Zeldin, who is running for state senate in New York, has signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge:

““I proudly sign the Taxpayer Protection Pledge today to show voters just how serious I am about bringing change to Washington,” Zeldin is quoted as saying in his email.”

Sofia Ramirez Fionda of PanAm Post wrote an article entitled “Observations on Private Property, or the Lack Thereof, in Latin America” The article highlights the International Property Rights Index that was recently published:

“Recently, Americans for Tax Reform published the International Property Rights Index (IPRI), which measures nations in terms of three core components: legal and political environment, physical property rights, and intellectual property rights. The index exposes a glaring lack of protection for these rights in Latin America, since most countries of the region appear at the bottom of the ranking.”
