Repeal Obamacare in First 100 Days of Trump Administration

Republicans have campaigned for years on repealing Obamacare. It’s time to take them at their word. Congress should send President Trump legislation to sign the repeal of Obamacare in the first 100 Days of his administration.

When Obama signed his “signature” bill into law six years ago, it imposed more than $1 trillion in tax hikes on the American people. Seven of the tax hikes directly hit Americans making less than $250,000, a violation of Obama’s “firm pledge” not to raise any form of tax on such households. These taxes include:

  • Individual mandate non-compliance tax
  • Medicine Cabinet Tax on Flexible and Health Savings Accounts
  • Chronic Care tax
  • Health Savings Accounts Withdrawal Tax
  • Employer Mandate Tax

Since its implementation, the effects of Obamacare have been catastrophic. Obamacare continues to drive health care spending higher and Americans regularly receive notices about canceled coverage or higher premiums.

Obama broke his promise to the American people, and Speaker Paul Ryan, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and President Donald Trump can fix that.
